VOTING RIGHTS IN MICHIGAN: From Gerrymandering to Proposal 3

Last fall, an overwhelming majority of Michigan voters showed up to support both Proposal 2 and 3 to ensure a more meaningful voice of voters in selecting our future elected representatives. The hard work of successfully implementing the will of the voter still lies ahead.

Mark Brewer, lawyer with Goodman Acker PC, will be the presenter on Wednesday, June 26. His principal areas of practice include union-side labor, election, campaign finance, and non-profit law. He has been involved in a wide variety of elections cases since the 1980s including county, legislative, and congressional redistricting, presidential primaries/caucuses, recalls, recounts, ballot access, voter protection on Election Day, and the protection of the right to vote a straight party ticket.

It’s critical that we work together for 2020 - beginning today.
Every person has a voice in the Democratic Party. Become involved, be informed.

Welcome To The Calhoun County Democratic Party

Our focus is on putting Michigan issues first, fighting for families, seniors, students and veterans, and working to elect Democrats across the state, while holding Republicans accountable across the board. From the grassroots to the Capitol steps, the only way we can move our state forward is if we work together to build a stronger, better Michigan Democratic Party."
